B-Rank Thrown Weapons[edit | edit source]

A variety of weapons that can be thrown. Ranging from a balanced knife or a stone laying on the ground, to more oddly designed weapons. Typically, these weapons need to be picked up before they can be thrown again.

+
⁂ Bounding Ball 1H* 1 +1 7 0 1 1 2 3 4 4 5 5 6 +1 10m 5,300
This magical metal ball is small enough to be held in one hand.

It appears to be perfectly round, and its surface has an unmistakable, bright metallic sheen.
Pop.: 13, Era: Magitech Civilization , Sum.: Can attack up to 2 characters in the same skirmish.
Effect: If the thrown weapon is aimed at a target within the skirmish, this ball will bounce after hitting and hit another target.
The attacker first performs an Accuracy check on the first target.
If the first target is hit, the attacker must make a second Accuracy check against another randomly selected character in the same skirmish.
If the first attack misses, the second is a miss.
If the attacker has the combat feat [Precise Shot], they can choose a second target or even select not to hit anyone with the second attack.
However, if the attacker has no [Precise Shot], the second target must always be chosen at random from other characters within the skirmish.
If an attacked character is not in the skirmish only they will be hit.
However, the GM may rule that when a character with multiple sections is hit, a second hit may be made on another section of the character.

Typically, it is thrown over an opponent's head, but it can also be used on one hand while in close quarters.
When using a net, it's often held in one's off-hand and used first, so that way the weapon held in the main hand can be used to finish off the opponent.
Pop.: 0, Era: Current , Sum.: Can entangle enemy
Rank Effect/Tangling, Thrown Weapon Special Effect: Entanglement
Non-Rank Effect:
This weapon does not deal damage.

+
Drain Net - 1H* 5 - 5m 3700

In order to attack, it is spun by the user, holding the middle of the chain, and the weight is aimed at the enemy.
Experts with the weapon can choose to either arc the weight over shields and defenses, or shoot the weight straight into the opponent.
Pop.: 0, Era: Current , Sum.: The iron chain used as a weapon
Rank Effect/Tangling, Thrown Weapon
Special Effect: Entanglement
Rank Effect/Thrown Weapon
When hit, the wielder can choose not to have the Special Effect: Entanglement occurs immediately after the Accuracy and Evasion rolls.
Non-Rank Effect
If the target was hit with this weapon with a thrown attack and Special Effect: Entanglement wasn’t used, the chain can be tugged to
retrieve the weight and this weapon can be used as a thrown weapon again on the next turn.

+
Chain Net - 1H* 10 1 10m 1900
A net made of chains woven together.

There are small weights on the edges in order to make it easy to swing and deploy.
