The Aristocrat Class[edit | edit source]

Aristocrat Class (Minor Class)[edit | edit source]

During the Durandal Period, the so-called “Bluebloods” had established not only a position as the ruling class, but also the techniques required to realize and enforce their rule. This technique is at the core of the Aristocrat Class.

Bluebloods who possess the Aristocrat class can make contracts with multiple commoners, animals, and sometimes even non-living beings, and connect with them mentally. The benefits these contracts include instantaneous understanding of each other's will and intentions, and the ability to sense each other's presence even at a distance. These techniques were passed down as "Noblesse".

Noblesse can be used in battle to control so-called "Legions", groups of beings with sufficient fighting strength.

The Aristocrat class is also an expression of a Blueblood's knowledge of manners and etiquette.

The use of Noblesse and the pacts with commoners have not been passed down to later times, and thus these techniques have been lost, with only fragments of information remaining in literature to suggest them.

Those who master the Aristocrat class are known as nobles.

Aristocrats are proficient in:

  • Impression Skill

Legions and Noblesse[edit | edit source]

In order to use the Aristocrat class, you must create a "Legion" and place it under your control. Once you sign a contract with a Legion, you can have one Legion under your command at all times. Only Bluebloods with the "Dominion" can sign a contract with a Legion. Silverblades and commoners cannot sign contracts.

Learning Noblesse[edit | edit source]

Noblesse are learned the same way as techniques and spellsongs, by choosing one of the available Noblesse for each level of Aristocrat.
The number of Noblesse you have is equal to the number of Aristocrat levels you have.

Using Noblesse[edit | edit source]

Legion-based Noblesse will only work on the Legion that you control.

Legion Restrictions[edit | edit source]

There is no special requirement to create a Legion.
As soon as the Legion formation fee is paid, you are immediately and constantly connected to that Legion.
You cannot have multiple Legions at the same time. If you already have multiple Legions under your control, you can choose one of them to sign up at the start of a session or when creating a new Legion.
Legions cannot be changed mid-session, with the exception being freshly formed legions.

Use of Legions in Combat[edit | edit source]

Legions can follow you and act as a shield to protect you in battle, as well as attack, move, and perform various other actions using the Noblesse you have acquired.
The rules for combat rules for legions are explained in detail in Legion Section.

Noblesse[edit | edit source]

Noblesse Types[edit | edit source]

There are two types of Noblesse: Courtly and Legion.

Courtly Type[edit | edit source]

These Noblesse are used to improve "Impression checks" that often take place at court.
Effects can be applied to the noble themselves, or to a target that the noble deems to be an extension of themselves (it is also in the noble's nature to follow up on the failures of their companions). The distance between you and allies you are supporting is limited to 3 meters.
When rerolling, if your second attempt is worse than the first, you must accept the result.
If you can make a second or third roll, you may continue to make rolls with the same result. Courtly type noblesse also have names including [~II] and [~III]. These are leveled noblesse and can only be learned if you have already learned the Noblesse of the same name and the previous level.

Legion Type[edit | edit source]

This Noble is mainly to control Legions and are able to enhance your Legion in various ways.
For more information on the detailed handling of Legion, please refer to the Legion Rule Section.

How to read Noblesse[edit | edit source]

This section contains the data for each individual Noblesse. Below you find an explanation on how to read them.

1. Form: Indicates the situation in which the Noble's Noble is to be applied.
「Courtly Type ()」: This is an effect that gives the noble or their companions a modifier or reroll when they make a check. It has no direct effect on Legion.
「Declarative(ロ)」: This is an effect that can be applied by declaring it while the Legion is with you. Only one of these effects can be performed per round. Declared effects last for 10 seconds (1 round) after they are declared, or until the Legion has completed one action.
「Granting(▽)」: This is an effect that is attached to a Declarative Noblesse. It can modify the value or provide additional effects. The qualities that can be granted are listed in the description.
「Permanent(〇)」: This is an effect that is always applied to the Legion just by learning it.
「Initiating()」: Once learned, you can choose whether or not to activate the Noblesse effect when you create a new Legion, or at the start of a session.
2. Prerequisites: Indicates the prerequisites for learning that Noblesse. If a Noblesse is listed, mastery of that Noblesse is required.
3. Target: This is the target to which the noble can give commands. If it says "Self," the Noblesse does not affect Legion, but only your own checks. If it says "Legion (Humanoid)", it is a Noble that targets Legion. The "Legion (Humanoid)" indicates the classification of the Legion to which the Noblesse can apply. The word "All" indicates that the Noblesse is valid for all classes of Legion.
4. Description: This section explains the specific effects of the Noblesse.
