Mythology of the World[edit | edit source]

The world of Raxia is filled with the faiths of numerous gods and goddesses. To date, there are 46 different gods and goddesses that have appeared in the various Sword World 2.0 books. This book was created in order to compile all of the information on those gods and goddesses into one location, in order to make it easier for both the players and the GM to look into the rich mythology of the world of Raxia and use it in order to enhance their characters, whether they be Priests or just simply followers of one deity or another.

The gods of the Raxian world were once people living in it, and as such have their own characteristics, personalities and even odd quirks from their original lifetime that they occasionally display to their followers in the form of myths and fables. Many of these myths have a supernatural bent to them, but just as many are simply mundane stories passed down throughout history. Of course, if you are playing a Priest or a particularly devout character, we hope that these myths will help you in your roleplaying, and aid you in feeling familiar with the world of Raxia.

Welcome to the mythology of the world.

In Raxia, the gods are by your side.

We hope that you can feel their presence.

The Structure of This Book[edit | edit source]

In the first chapter, "Characters", the Sentians are introduced. This new race is tied to the divine, and rules for character creation and racial characteristics are included here.

The second chapter, "Myths and Legends", contains not only a timeline and correlation chart of all of the gods, but also 31 different short stories relating to various gods.

"Gods of Raxia", the third chapter of this book, provides a description of all of the gods and the various specialized Divine Magic spells they have to offer faithful Priests. There are also descriptions of very minor gods, as well as deities whose faith has become extinct in Raxia.

The last Chapter, "Items", introduces new items relating to and derived from the various gods.

Agreeing to Use This Book[edit | edit source]

As there are new rules for not only the Sentian race, but also new Divine Magic and items that haven't been seen elsewhere in the various SW2.0 books, it is recommended that players and the GM should come to an agreement before using this book. It would be rude to surprise the table by using data from this book without informing anyone else, and creating tension at the game table is not the intention of this book.

Rulebooks and Rules Used[edit | edit source]

This book is written assuming the Revised Core Rulebooks are being used. However, the Combat Feats were written with the assumption that Rulebook EX was being used as well. Rulebook EX is not slated to be translated as a part of this project, though, as it is simply a beginner's version of the first Core Rulebook. As those rules are the same as the rules found in Ignis Blaze for expanded Combat Feats, we ask that you use the rules from Ignis Blaze instead.

References[edit | edit source]

There will be times in this book where rules in other rulebooks will be referenced, typically in the form of "See XX, pg. YY", where YY is a page number, and XX is the abbreviation of one of the other SW2.0 books.
